Alpine cycling tours

On August 21st 2016 we have just 8 places available departing on the first of our Geneva to Nice alpine cycling tours. The route will follow the iconic ‘Route des Grandes Alpes’ taking in some of the alps most iconic climbs. The 6 day itinerary will be demanding and this is a trip for fit amateur cyclists. Each day we will be averaging over 100km and around 3000m climbing. If you feel up to a serious sporting challenge then please contact us to reserve your place. At Freedom Velo we like to travel in style and each evening we will retire to the very best accommodation each destination has to offer. Each season we will research and introduce a series of alpine cycling tours designed for all levels of rider ability.

This cycling route is designed to follow the ‘Route de Grandes Alpes’ but is tweaked in places to ensure we include the best roads and all the iconic climbs. You will need a compact chain set and we can organise an evening sports massage to help you recover at the end of the day ready to go again the next.

Day 1- Arrive Geneva, transfer to Morzine.

Your guide will meet you at Geneva airport, short transfer to Morzine. Settle into the fabulous La Ferme d’Elise, enjoy a fabulous 4 course evening meal with complimentary fine wine and evening briefing for the week ahead

Day 2- 25/8/14 Thonon to Megeve

Day 3- 26/8/14 Megeve to Val d’Isere

Day 4- 27/8/14 Val d’Isere to Valloire

Day 5- 28/8/14 Valloire to Guillestre/St Veran

Day 6- 29/8/14 Guillestre/St Veran to Valberg

Day 7- 30/8/14 Valberg to Menton
